1. What the platform offers

Worth the Turn helps visitors, residents and people exploring relocation understand towns, local areas and relevant services. It is editorial research and practical guidance, not an exhaustive directory or a guarantee that any place will meet your needs.

Content, operating hours, pricing, admission rules, school arrangements, transport services and property information can change. Check material decisions directly with the relevant provider or official authority.

2. Independent information, not professional advice

The platform does not provide legal, tax, financial, medical, property valuation, mortgage or school admission advice. A comparison or calculator is a research aid, not a personal recommendation, quotation, promise of availability or outcome.

3. External services

Links to Google Maps, property portals, public authorities, venues and other third-party websites take you outside Worth the Turn. Their information, prices, terms and privacy practices are their own. External search results are not verified or endorsed merely because we provide a link.

4. Editorial independence and advertising

Businesses may enquire about verified factual profiles, advertising and sponsored placements. Advertising must be clearly identified and does not buy favourable editorial coverage, recommendations or rankings.

Three published fixed monthly packages are offered for one eligible, verified business location in George: Standard Business Profile at R299, Neighbourhood Spotlight at R799, and Town Spotlight at R1,999. Each Spotlight package includes the Standard Business Profile, so prices do not stack. Branderval Investments (Pty) Ltd is not VAT registered and no VAT is charged.

Standard includes a factual business profile, approved category and town area, official website link and Google Maps directions for a verified address. Neighbourhood Spotlight additionally provides a separately identified sponsored position in an appropriate suburb or category context. Town Spotlight provides one defined town-wide or homepage sponsored position, where approved inventory is available.

Premium positions are limited and subject to confirmation of the exact approved slot, location, duration and creative rights. The published fee does not purchase editorial preference or guarantee impressions, enquiries, sales or particular page positioning unless the placement is expressly specified in the signed schedule. A price displayed on the website does not guarantee an open advertising slot.

Sending an email enquiry does not place an order, reserve inventory or create a payment obligation. Online checkout and automatic advertising activation are not enabled. Any paid engagement requires Branderval's eligibility approval and a written service agreement addressing exact placement, invoice timing, term, renewal, cancellation, creative approval and applicable legal rights. Multi-location campaigns are not covered by a single-location package.

5. Accounts and acceptable use

If you choose to create an account, you are responsible for protecting your sign-in details and for using the service lawfully. Do not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorised access, upload malicious material or misrepresent an organisation or another person.

You can browse public town information without purchasing a membership. Any future paid account features will require separate disclosure and terms.

6. Content and intellectual property

Original Worth the Turn editorial text and branding may be protected by intellectual-property law. Third-party images, maps, names, trademarks and linked content remain subject to the rights of their respective owners and to the attributions or licences displayed.

Do not reproduce substantial original content for commercial purposes without appropriate permission. If you believe information or imagery is inaccurate, outdated or used without permission, please contact us so it can be investigated.

7. Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep the website useful and current, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that every listing is error-free. To the extent permitted by applicable South African law, Worth the Turn and Branderval are not responsible for decisions made without independent verification of important facts. Nothing here removes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.
